Tamta Chelidze

Tamta Chelidze is an actress by profession. She graduated from the Shota Rustaveli University of Theatre and Cinema and for the last 5 years she has been engaged with her activities at Free Theatre. Her parents were instrumental in helping Chelidze to choose what would become her profession. Izo Chkoidze, mother is an actress, and father – director.

Chelidze won her first Grand Prix in her musical career at the age of 12, when she participated in TV contest “Golden Muse.” One year later she was invited to the Russian Federation’s capital of Moscow where she became a semi-finalist of a TV contest “Morning Star.” Chelidze then took classes in dancing besides music and for 8 years she has been dancing in “Mkhedruli” and “Erisioni” ensembles.

In 1998-1999, Chelidze sang in the Jazz Sextet “Impulse.” She participated in a TV series “Coffee and Beer” and has 4 video clips. She has a 2-year-old daughter named Lisa.
