Salome Korkotashvili

Salome Korkotashvili wrote the song “Stars” when she was only 9 years old. Korkota, as her friends call her or Salome Korkotashvili, is the author of about 50 songs. She gave her first concert together with group “Paparatsi” at a club of the Tbilisi #6 Public School. Later she was able to give a live open-air performance before the wider audience at the Turtle Lake, which is located on the outskirts of Tbilisi. Following her debut, she continues performing number of concerts and participating in various festivals and competitions.

She was 20 when she wrote songs “Let’s Walk Together,” “It is morning, wake up” and “I am bored.” Korkota is a director by profession. She plays the piano and has studied at a musical gymnasium, Conducting Department, for 3 years.

Korkotashvili was the only person among those 12 contenders selected through the national competition for Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), who presented her own original song for the purpose of the competition.
